KCF Mission Statement Kids Come First’s mission
is to grant all children in our care an innovative, educational, and loving
extension of home. Our caregivers’ strive to meet each child’s unique needs
with sensitivity and encourage the love of learning every day.
We know children have a natural desire to explore and discover the world
around them. We cultivate the
children’s natural desire to explore and discover the world around them by
utilizing the Creative curriculum Format or “through play”.
This format allows children to learn through a staggered mix of
activities. We also utilize the
Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards to nurture and develop each child into
an emotionally, physically, socially, and intellectually well-rounded
individual. Our main
goal is to provide a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment for children to
play, to acquire basic readiness skills and to have good social experiences. Our
professional staff is dedicated to encouraging children’s intellectual,
physical, and emotional development during those hours when parents are at work,
in school, or otherwise engaged. Much time is devoted to improving self-image
and helping children to feel good about themselves.
Teaching caring and sharing attitudes toward others encourage growth in
Christian living at this age level. Although Kids Come First Preschool and Child
Care is not affiliated with any church, Christian stories and songs are a part
of the general curriculum.
