Where are you located? We are located on the corner of Hwy 74 (Waukesha Avenue) and Silver Spring Drive (Hwy VV) When are you open? Our hours of operation are 6 am until 6 pm, Monday through Friday only. Do you offer part-time care? KCF does offer part-time care but to qualify as part time, children ages 3 to 12 yrs, must be scheduled at least two days with a minimum of four hours a day. Children younger than age three must be scheduled for a minimum of two full days to qualify at the part time tuition rate. Children younger then age three are not eligible for a half day rate. KCF strives to be as flexible as possible with families within these guidelines. Do you have bus service to local schools? Most school within the Hamilton School District bus to and from our location with the exception of Woodside Elementary. KCF offers only AM bussing to Woodside at this time. This will change to AM and PM in the near future. Bussing must be set up in advance by the parent through the respective school your child will be attending. Can I stop in for a tour? We have an open door policy but it is recommended that you call in advance and set up a time so that our Director will be able to offer her undivided attention to all of your questions and concerns. Do you have references from other parents? We'd be happy to give you references anytime, just ask! Do I get any incentives if I refer another family to KCF? If you refer another family to the center, we will give you $50.00 off your tuition after the family reaches their six-month anniversary date. You will receive a special letter of thanks and a special coupon to use at your discretion. If the family fails to reach the six-month point, no credit will be given. Do you have a meal program? Due to cost, waste, and food allergies, Kids Come First does not offer a full meal program. Parents are responsible for packing a lunch. As an FYI there are microwaves and fridges in each classroom. Heat ups such as lunch buckets can be made. KCF will provide a nutritionally- balanced morning and afternoon snack, along with 2% milk, 100% juice, or water with both snack and lunch. How do I enroll my child/ren? A meeting will be set up between the Program Director and you to fill out the enrollment paperwork. KCF then requires first and last week of tuition and a registration fee of $35.00. The last week of tuition will be held on your account as a deposit and if you should chose to pull your child from from our care, as long as two weeks notice of withdrawal is given, the deposit will be used for your child's last week of care. If two weeks notice is not given the deposit is forfeited. (Please see below for procedure for when the deposit is paid and you decide that you will not be bringing your child) For children 3 years and older $5.00 of the registration fee will be put towards a KCF t-shirt, that must be worn on all off site field trips. Do you accept state assistance? KCF does accept families currently receiving Title 20 assistance through the state. Upon enrollment, if you do not have a current authorization in place a $30.00 a week charge will be owed (per child) until authorization is sent to us. If we have not received an authorization by your child's one month anniversary, you will become responsible for the regular tuition rate. Some families, even with the help of State Assistance, will still owe an out of pocket amount every week. All families will be notified of the out of pocket amount as soon as possible. All families receiving state assistance will still be responsible for our registration fee. This amount is $35.00 per child but does not exceed $70.00 per family and is due annually. You will receive advance notice when registration fees become due. Do you offer family discounts? Yes, there is a 10% discount on your oldest child when you have two children enrolled, and a 15% discount on your oldest when you have three or more children enrolled. The discount doesn't apply when you have a child in the before and after school program. It does apply during the summer program for school age students, though. I do not qualify for State Assistance but I'm not sure I can afford day care. What are my options? Kids Come First is a not for profit center that takes pride in giving back to those within our community. KCF does offer a discounted tuition rate for families that do not qualify for state assistance but may need a little extra help. Forms for this service can be requested from the Program Director. All final decisions for discounted tuition are made on a case by case basis and are not guaranteed. I have paid my deposit and enrolled my child but for personal reasons I have changed my mind and my child/ren will not attend after all. What happens to the money I have paid? Things come up and we completely understand that, however when the deposit has been paid KCF has saved your child's spot within the center. At times other families may be on a waiting list and it is a considerable loss of revenue for us if there is a large gap between enrollment and your child's first day with us. (I.e.: You are pregnant and you enroll four months before you will bring your newborn) The deposit and registration fees will be forfeited if you should change your mind and decide not to bring your child to us. The first week of tuition will be refunded by mail within 90 days of your notification. Do you go on field trips? Children ages 3 to 12 will attend some field trips on off-school days and during the summer program. The calendar and costs of these field trips will be sent home with each child in early May. We welcome and encourage all parents to chaperone at our expense! Can I visit my child during the day? All parents are welcome to visit their child any time they wish during the day. We like to encourage as much parent participation as possible.
